Tis the last day

Today is my last full day in America. Again, it was another day that Sam has to work unfortunately. So I busied myself around the house with a few chores, pre-packing and tidying my room. 

I then sat on Guild wars till Sam came home. I played with Debbie and Tethyi for a few hours.

When Sam came home, we performed, what has now become, tradition when I come to New York and that's to have my last meal at the Old English pub. A pint of fosters and a fish and chip dinner. Delicious! After grabbing a few essentials at the gas station we headed home. 

There seemed to be some excitement when we got back. 6 police cars, 2 of them un marked and one a dog van, were parked up along the street. They didn't have their lights flashing so we didn't think it was an emergency or anything. Nether the less, we sat on the porch and watched the proceedings. Not a lot happened, they soon drove off, leaving us wondering what excitement we had missed. 

We got back and rented a movie, Django. I rather enjoyed it but Sam got really tired about 20 mins from the end and just had to turn in. I followed once the film had ended.

I laid in bed for a while, listening to the rain and the street noises outside, thinking that tonight is going to be my last night. I thought about all the wonderful things we done these last few weeks. From cape cod, to the Jaws tour, lifestyle week, New York City, meeting old friends and new. Another set of amazing memories have been created. I soon drifted off to sleep, ready to face the long day tomorrow and the flight back home.
