Where's the Potato salad?

It's Saturday, so a lay in was taken. No water clock waking me up early so I slept in. Which was nice.

When I got up, which actually wasn't that late, Sam was up and on the computer. We had to order our train tickets to New York City today.

We set about doing the housework, I started putting the Hoover round and I watered the plants. Sam set about making a potato salad as we were off the Rocky's tonight for a BBQ. We went to Rocky's last time for thanksgiving and I was looking forward to seeing them again.

The morning was fairly lazy, we made short work of the chores and come early afternoon, we had had our bath and shower so got ready to go out.

Halfway there Sam had a 'moment'. We'd forgotten the potato salad! So we had to pull into a super market and buy some. Throughout the evening, this store bought salad was known as 'Sams special recipe'. Thing is, I know what's for lunch Sunday already.

We arrived at Rocky's and this time, all the leaves were out on the trees that surrounded his house and the local neighbourhood. Plants were in bloom and it looked gorgeous. Last time it was dark and flower less. We took a look around the back and they showed us where the small wood turn into a park, with lots of little trails leading off all over the place. It would be awesome for kids growing up, running, hiding and making dens in the woods.

The food was amazing, burgers, hotdogs, corn on the cob, shrimp, pasta and of course 'Sam's special recipe' potato salad. We had melon roll sorbet for dessert and there was plenty of beer.

This picture shows the grill on the deck, backing up to the woods beyond. Although its a neighbourhood, you feel like your in the forest.

It wasn't that late when we left, about ten o'clock but we have a long day ahead of us tomorrow and we needed to get up and going. So when we got home, I sat for a few mins before heading up to bed. I'm looking forward to seeing New York again!
